Quinta Velha, meaning “old farm”, lies in a private forest between Sintra’s old town and the historic monuments perched on the mountain top. In 2020 a significant multi-year renovation project was completed, converting the old stables and summer residence into a modern private family home, deeply respecting all existing historic features. This tiny sized home is made of a 20 feet shipping container. It has a living room area in the entrance with a sofa that flips into a 120 cm day bed. The bathroom is complete with a shower.
