The Lighthouse

The Lighthouse is a unique, romantic place on the South Coast. Stunning views, opposite a swimming and dog beach plus rock pools, it’s great for walks. With a comfy double bed and steep stairs, it’s private and quiet - brilliant on a sunny day, cosy in a storm. There's a fantastic cafe around the corner; shops are 10 minutes’ walk away. The main Island Bay bus stop is nearby with regular buses. It's a 9 minute drive to the airport and 15 minutes to downtown Wellington. Small dogs on request.

A regular bus service to the city is metres away from our home. Our street has free parking, spectacular views of the city, and a park opposite with tennis courts. Have an urban camping experience in our iconic Airstream caravan in historic inner-city Thorndon, the oldest suburb of Wellington. The Airstream has a double bed, and a dining area which converts to a single bed suitable for one adult or two small children. Located next to our office and with your own carpark, you are just a short stroll to the central city, tourist attractions, transport hubs, nature walks, restaurants, bars and cafes.
