The mountain caters for those who love nature with many bush walking tracks. It is also the gateway to O’Reillys, Lamington and Binna Burra national parks. Sunset on Handglider Hill over looking Canunga with a glass of wine in hand is not to be missed. This architect-designed house is set on a 1.5-acre property near Mount Tamborine. Mavis's Mountain Cottage is fully self contained, light, airy and located on parkland acres on the eastern escarpment. The Gold Coast views are breathtaking! The cottage contains fully equipped kitchen, high ceilings, Wi-Fi, aircon and ceiling fans. There are two outdoor decks and picnic basket provided for your use. Easy walking distance to local wineries and the popular glowworm caves. A short drive to local cafes and shops on the famous Gallery Walk and walking trails in the National Parks.

This uniquely built barn situated in the Gold Coast hinterland is within walking distance to national parks. Made from recycled wharf timber, the barn is set on an 18 acre farm beset by green lawns. A king bed with ensuite, separate shower & bath make up the loft bedroom. Downstairs features a second bathroom / laundry, fire place, lounge, study & self inflating bed (inflatable bed linen not included), dining & fully equipped kitchen before walking onto a large deck overlooking the rainforest.

Enjoy the plant filled space while you enjoy a breakfast of fresh bread, eggs from our chickens, cereal, condiments & coffee. At night light the fireplace with the wood provided & soak in the large tub. Take the picnic basket & rug provided, & explore the Mountain. We are located on the Main Road leading into Gallery Walk. If you are sensitive to road noise we might not be the perfect place for you.

Enjoy the intimate and historic setting, and the chance to escape reality and soak in the magic. Unwind with a bottle from the local winery in front of the Nectre fireplace. Settle into the day bed and devour a book while listening to a record. Take a wander down the street to the local distillery, or sit on the deck and take in the birds playing in the bird bath.

The unique cottage sits in a quiet street in North Tamborine surrounded by national parks. The property boasts hand made windows, hand carved etchings and joinery and stonework that will leave you in awe and exploring for days. It's a short drive to the rainforest walks, brewery, wineries, artisan cheese factory, the famous Gallery Walk, wedding venues and many other local restaurants and attractions of Tamborine.
