Misty Mountain Hut-Ruapehu is located in the sleepy little village of Rangataua, 5 minutes distance to Mountain road going up to the Turoa skifield and Ohakune. The 1 bedroom colonial villa has a beautiful view of the mountain. Unlimited wifi and a new firebox with plenty of firewood and a heat pump ensure you are warm in winter. My favourite time here is summer for amazing walks/cycling up mountains to enjoy majestic views. Misty Mountain Hut supports local staff by paying $40/hr for cleaning.

After walking, snowboarding, skiing or mountain biking relax on the deck or in the spa with a view to Mount Ruapehu. When you are ready for more action go to the games room for darts, pool or foosball. Both the bach and games room have heat pumps and TVs and of course there is wifi, plenty of parking, and a drying room.
