This is a romantic little hideaway. With its own entrance and and lovely outdoor seating. The mattress is top quality. There is small living room/ kitchen, that is just big enough to prepare food and has everything you need - fridge, hot plate, air fryer, microwave, toaster and kettle. The pub across the road serves lovely food and beer and has atmosphere. Lovely views and great walking. Wood burning stove in the bedroom. It provides an ideal base to explore this beautiful part of Yorkshire including; Howarth, the home of the Brontes, Halifax, including the Piece Hall and Shibden Hall, the home of Anne Lister and the Pennine Way.

Explore the beautiful Calder valley from this characterful grade II listed annex to Kilnhurst Old Hall, once the home of the author, artist and traveller William Holt. We have a comfy king-size bed in the lower bedroom, and two singles or a double on the mezzanine level above as you prefer, and a wood burning stove to keep you cosy. There are fantastic walks, loads of fascinting local history, independent shops and places to eat and drink. We have a safe space for cyclists to store bikes, too!
