Situated 10 mins from the township of Winton, central Southland. We have baby lambs skipping around the paddocks lots of fun to watch from the hut deck. Great little spot. 200m from the North beach & River. 5min walk to central Riverton - supermarkets & cafes. You maybe able to bring your dog - please check with me first. Dogs need to be kept on a lead around our yard at all times (because of our animals). And they also need to be able to stay off the furniture. The Shack (and yard) are not child safe, please let me know if you have a young child with you. We are also on the Te Araroa Trail, so great for backpackers.

Come and experience Southern hospitalilty at it's best. Prepare or recover for our famous Hump Ridge track. Within walking distance is the Historic Clifden bridge, Waiau River (good fishing) and Clifden Caves, a beautiful 9-hole golf course is 4kms away. We are the closest accommodation to Lake Hauroko.
