One of a Kind Apartment with Landmark Views

Look out at Hallgrímskirkja just outside the picture windows with volcanic mountain ranges in the distance. This renovated Icelandic home is filled with comforts, artisanal touches, books, and local art—all a warm welcome after a day of sightseeing. Guests staying in the flat have a fully equipped kitchen, including dishwasher, microwave, stove, and oven, and a spacious living area with artisanal dining table and Danish design couch, in addition to a quiet bedroom and wonderful shower with optimal water pressure. Other amenities include Wi-fi television with complementary Netflix access, high-speed Wi-fi, and washing-machine use. There is also free parking on the street in front of the apartment, and by Hallgrímskirkja. The apartment is ideal for a couple or solo traveller seeking a cozy, private space to get great sleep in support of Icelandic adventures. It is also suitable for longer-stay guests who desire a central home to support work in the city. Due to the walk-up staircase, the apartment is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible. Previously, Canada's national newspaper The Globe and Mail asked Angela's exclusive assistance in recommending travel destinations within Reykjavík. Additionally, our backgrounds in literature, Icelandic, performing arts, environmental ethics, and education make for neat conversation with our fellow visitors. Cross the street to Hallgrimskirkja and take a few steps more to Laugavegur, the main street with cafes, restaurants, bars, galleries, and shops. It's ten minutes on foot to Harpa, the National Theater, the National Gallery, and other attractions. A five-minute walk takes you to Sundhöllin, the oldest swimming pool in Reykjavik; it has an indoor pool with outdoor thermal pools and a sauna - worth a visit. When arriving in the city by bus from Keflavík Airport (recommended, at 20 USD per head), you would find yourself at the central bus station (BSÍ), which is a ten-minute walk to the apartment, or a few minutes by taxi. Most buses from the airport will, if asked, drop you off at Hallgrímskirkja, Hótel Leifur Eiríksson, or Café Loki, all within a minute´s walk from the apartment. Buses returning from sight-seeing tours, Northern lights tours and such, will usually have their drop-off points at Hallgrímskirkja across the street, or at Einar Jónsson Art Museum, an arm's length away from the apartment. Hotels in the area, some within a minute's walk, have easy pick-up for those leaving for the airport. Apartment is officially registered at the City council of Reykjavík, as specified by local laws. Modern apartment 10-15 min from downtown Reykjavík

A mountain-view one-bedroom apartment in the outskirts of Reykjavik and just a 10-15 minute drive to downtown. The apartment consists of a single bedroom, a spacious bathroom with a bath/shower, a comfortably large living room, open kitchen, dining area and balcony. You will also have access to a laundry room and a two person air mattress that can be situated in the living room. The surrounding area is quiet and peaceful, allowing you the option to feel closer to nature by partaking in outdoor activities (or just a lovely stroll!). Activities include hiking, ATV/Buggy tours, or swimming in the local Lágafell pool. For those interested in taking day trips outside of the city, the apartment is also a short distance from the highway. Travel by car/taxi is preferable, but public transport is also possible. Upon your arrival, I would be happy to share local information about places to visit, grocery stores, great places to eat and more.

Under mountain Esja, Kjalarnes. A peaceful place.

Kirkjuland is a small farm just 10km north of Reykjavik, on Kjalarnes. Located under the beautiful mountain Esja. Peaceful and cozy.. We can host 2 persons at our facility. Fantastic view over the Reykjavik area. We are close to many beautiful places you would want to visit; like Thingvellir national park, Glymur the highest waterfall in Iceland, Húsafell , Krauma, Giljaböð natural bath places, etc. All photos of the northern lights taken in our garden! Outdoor swimming pools very close by.

Hraðastaðir Horse riding & Farm

Studio apartment located on a farm only 20 minutes from Reykjavík!:) on the way to the golden circle which offers room for two people. Come and stay at our farm and visit our wonderful animals and/or get fresh egg from our chickens in the morning to cook in the apartment. There are also fun experiences around our farm such as a lot of beautiful hiking trails, horse riding and more. It's a very good location to plan day trips from. If there are northern lights you can see right outside the door.

The Old Barn – Special place in spectacular nature

The farm is settled in the most beautiful scenery you can imagine. Powerful mountains all around, sound of the fresh salmon-river, waterfall in the breath taking canyon. Aurora Borealis from your window, when the conditions are right. Great for getting away. Relax or be creative. Mindful hiking in the untouched nature and enjoy farm live. Middle of nowhere, and yet it is only 22 km. drive from Reykjavik City Center. Many points of interest are within easy reach like the Golden Circle, 2 min.

Close to Reykjavík, a cute little house, a hot tub

Lyngholt is the name of this little house, it is located in Bræðratunga in the outskirt of Mosfellsbæ, only 50 minutes drive from the International Airport. Lyngholt is surrounded with fir trees and birch, moss and mountains, with hiking trails all around, and near by is the lake Hafravatn. 2 km to the next grocery store, and 3 km to the center of Mosfellsbæ, where you can find a bakery, restaurants and library. About 600 meters to the bus stop, where you can take the bus to Reykjavík centrum

Newly built (30m2) an oasis at the onset of the Golden Circle, 12 km outside of Reykjavik. Convenient location as a hub while enjoying excursions as well as exploring Reykjavik and the surrounding area. Sheltered by tall trees and vegetation, the house offers privacy while enjoying views of Mt. Esja. On the property the owner operates a sustainable and organic vegetable farm, both outdoors and in heated greenhouses. When not in use as a rental property, the home is used as a craft workshop.

Esjuberg Farm-Sleep with horses & mountain hike

Welcome to the newly renovated farmhouse in Esjuberg, where you sleep by the roots of the mountain. This house truly has it all, from a beautiful ocean view, horses in the backyard, and a phenomenal view over Reykjavik. Esjuberg plays a big part in a very interesting Icelandic Viking story called the Kjalnesinga Saga. In this story, a woman named Esja lived here along with her foster son Búi, who became a very mighty man.
