FNQ Blooms Tropical Flower Farm Lodge

The Tropical Flower Lodge sits at the foothills of Mt Bartle Frere, surrounded by lush rainforest and vibrant tropical gardens. Our property is also a working flower farm, home to a wide variety of Heliconias and Gingers. The lodge is completely self‑sustaining. Fresh spring water flows though the property a gravity‑fed system, our on‑site waterfall generates clean hydroelectric power. Guests often tell us it feels like staying in a hidden, eco‑friendly sanctuary where nature does all the work.

Lakeside Loft

The Lakeside Loft is the ultimate relaxing getaway. It is a luxury pole home, nestled in the tree tops. It boasts three levels all with breath taking panoramic views of the Lake. The back yard has direct access to the lake for water sports for most of the year. We have a canoe and kayak for guest use. The closest boat ramp is located at Tinaburra which is only a couple of mins away. Yungaburra village is also a couple of mins drive and it is 15 min to Atherton and just over 1hr to Cairns.

Birdwing Hut in the Rainforest

This simple hut nestled into the rainforest is a birdwatcher's paradise! The property is entirely off-grid and is situated in a wildlife hotspot, with 100 acres of wet tropics rainforest connected to the World Heritage listed Maalan National Park. An ideal base for nature lovers to explore the Atherton Tableland, the bird list includes over 200 species, including Victoria's Riflebird, Blue-faced Parrot finch. Mammals include Tree kangaroos and Herbert River and Green Ringtail Possums.

Usnea, our Nature, Art and Accommodation Space, is situated on the Evelyn Tablelands, Tropical North Qld. Here a discrete self-contained one bedroom cottage in upland rainforest is surrounded by natural and established gardens, and at 1,160m provides a cool summer and cosy winter retreat. Uniquely the cottage integrates art within and outside. Contemplation, inspiration, privacy and comfort, are all to be experienced, along with exploring our forest and local environmental features.

From the modern luxurious interior, you can soak up nature at its finest. The platypus, other waterlife and birdlife are visible from the breakfast / cocktail bar as well as from the bathtub or outdoor shower. Enjoy the solitude of this totally private self-contained apartment suited for singles and couples. A 5-minute rainforest walk to the centre of the village and 200 metres from the local golf course. The apartment is surrounded by beautiful gardens and has everything you should need for a very comfortable stay with dedicated under cover parking and access so you won't be getting wet if it is raining. Enjoy watching the butterflies and birds in the garden from the verandah. .

Mena Creek Flower House, "The Birdsnest"

Set on 40 Private acres, "The Birdsnest" is our modern air-cond smaller cabin. It is open plan living/bedroom with q/size bed and sofa that converts to double bed for extra guests. Seperate bathroom and undercover large deck with stunning rural views. Private river safe swimming hole. Free wifi, flat screen TV. We do have 2 other cabins on the property to accommodate larger families or groups. 7mins from Paronella Park. Due to Covid 19 we are no longer providing breakfast.

Hemingway’s on the Hill is a rustic private indulgence. Set high on the hill, bearing witness to the best of rural life. Cows graze paddocks, and flocks of birds fly overhead. Life is everywhere. Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Located on the water's edge in Lakeside, Yungaburra, is this family friendly home that is ready for you to enjoy. With direct access to the lake, it is perfect for anyone wanting to bring the water toys up and enjoy a day on the water or just relax on the veranda and let time go by. There are long walks along the water's edge - and the sunsets are just amazing.

Private cottage - Atherton Tablelands

A cosy self contained cottage in the Atherton Tablelands suitable for up to two adults, no children or infants. No neighbours for 400 meters. Enjoy the peace and quiet, abundant wildlife and various walking tracks on our 20ha property adjacent to World Heritage Forest. A great central place to explore the beautiful Tablelands. Most guests wished they could have stayed longer so consider to stay an extra night.

The Winston

The Winston is a beautiful old church in the retro town of Innisfail which we have been renovating for about a year. It’s about a 15 minute walk into town. The area has many attractions close by Paronella Park, Etty Bay where you will see cassowaries walking along the beach, Babinda Boulders, Josephine falls, the Mamu canopy walk, white water rafting in Tully and Mission beach just to name a few
