Welcome to John Pope Cabin Nestled in foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, John Pope Cabin overlooks an open field where hawks hunt, bears sometimes stroll, and our neighbors’ horses peer over the fence. Feel free to pet them but don’t feed them! Built in 1865 by a Confederate soldier returning from the Civil War birthed and raised 11 children here. The cabin remains rustic, comfortable, and full of character. Ahh…the porch. Relax in the swing, watch the fields change with the light.

Welcome to Mountain View Mini Farm! We are located in the Rockfish Valley(Afton, VA)with amazing views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Our farm is just minutes to wineries, breweries, cideries, Shenandoah National Park and more! There is so much to do close by, but once you get on the farm, you won't want to leave! You have traveled, you have explored. You have stayed in many places! Now its time to stay in one of the coolest locations you never knew existed. Stay in the top of a Silo! The Silo was finished in Nov 2018. We’ve been renovating this old 1950’s dairy barn/silo since 2013. The Silo has 4 floors and the top 2 are yours! There’s a sitting area on the third floor (and bath). The bedroom is at the very top with windows all around and 360°view ! Also your own private deck off the bedroom.

The Cottage

Need some time to refresh? Spending time in the foothills of the Skyline Drive at our cozy cottage may be for you. Well behaved dogs are welcome but not on furniture. The driveway is long and home is very secluded. Winter access will be subject to weather conditions. Driveway does not get plowed and gets rutty during rainy periods. Cell service is spotty on Browntown road. The cottage has a landline and wifi. Use your wifi calling feature for cell phone use. More info under photos.
