Included in your stay is your very own private garden, complete with hot tub & summerhouse to relax in. The property also has private parking plus a secret woodland hideaway. Within walking distance is both Sharsted Wood and Doddington Place Gardens which are great for exploring, plus our local pubs - The Black Lion and The Chequers Inn which are perfect for a spot of lunch or a dinner reservation.

The Byre at Cold Christmas

Escape to the country and stay in a cosy converted barn with a log burning stove and a secluded sunny patio area with outdoor dining and barbeque. Positioned in the beautiful countryside near Ware town, Cold Christmas has an abundance of lovely walks and is conveniently situated close to Hanbury Manor and Fanhams Hall, both of which offer a variety of amenities including a golf course, health spa and fine dining. Maltons, one of the area's finest restaurants is just at the end of the lane.

It’s set in unspoilt peaceful countryside yet only a 5 minute drive into Stock Village with its four outstanding pubs, cafe and Greenwood’s Hotel and Spa. There are two local pubs in West Hanningfield one of which is within walking distance. The vibrant Chelmsford City Centre is only a 10 minute drive. The cottage entry is via a lock box.

GWP - Rectory North

2000 sq foot semi detached (north wing) 100 year old recotry on a private estate. And yes that’s a woodburner you can see in the photo and yes you can use it :-))) The gorgeous pool is shared with two other properties and you can use it any time between 10-6pm daily. A 360 video tour in 2d and 3d is available. Go to photos and in the living room section you will see an excel spreadsheet. Type the relevant link into your browser. Escape to the beautiful English countryside with a group of friends or family to this stunning barn conversion on the edge of Bishops Stortford. With it's exposed oak beams, log fireplace and hot tub, this is a special place to relax in comfort and unwind, a perfect escape from the city. We aim to provide a luxurious stay in this 3 bedroom barn conversion which can sleep up to 6 people. All three bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms and we use B-Corp bedding, shampoos & conditioners.

Spend an evening having a barbecue overlooking a spacious garden and open countryside. Take a walk along the many footpaths or play golf at one of three nearby courses.

Private studio with deck

A comfortable studio apartment set apart from the main house with off road parking right outside. Guests have their own front door, and there is a private deck looking out over neighbouring farmland . The studio has a private shower room, fresh towels and sheets are provided. There is a small kitchen area with a microwave, a toaster and an air fryer. We can arrange check in and check out times to suit us both, and we are happy to advise on the local area. Please ask!

Farmers cottage

Our eco friendly freshly repainted cottage sits at the front of our family run farm. We have adopted a green approach to living with photovoltaic electric and ground source heat pump underfloor heating. This self contained one bedroom bungalow has its own front door entrance and is a huge comfortable space to relax, rest and recuperate for a short break away or after work. It is available to book for one day or more and we offer a discount for monthly bookings.

There are local supermarkets, takeaways & restaurants within a 15 min walk away. There are some lovely walks on the door step.
