The Log Cabin in Mingo Valley

Relax and make yourself at home in our historic hand hewn pre 1820 log cabin. Enjoy your "little piece of paradise" in a private, secluded and wooded country property. The two story restored cabin has plenty of room for your family vacation with a full kitchen, living room, master bedroom, 1 1/2 baths and sleeps seven people. Enjoy the fresh country air while relaxing on one of the three porches, hiking the 23 acre woods, or taking the paddle boat across the two acre lake.

This historic structure was originally a 2-story log home built in 1813. The home was used as an Inn or tavern along the Old Federal Road leading from Columbus to Springfield. In 2020, the decision was made to disassemble the second floor of the original cabin and then reassemble it on a new foundation with walk-out basement. This rebuilt cabin overlooks Deer Creek and a 50 plus acre wetlands area. The property is 1 mile from I-70 and is only a 30-minute drive to Columbus, OH.

We hope you feel right at home here at the Inn on Bristle Ridge in the beautiful rolling hills of Logan County, Ohio. When you book you have full access to a Cabin (sleeps 11 - more details below) and Chalet (sleeps 2), as well as six acres of woods with a stream. Take the winding path across a small bridge and you'll find a hammock hut hidden in the woods. You can also enjoy the cabin's wrap around porch and deck with grill, hot tub, fire-pit, ping pong table, and dart board.

Bike the Simon Kenton Trail to the highest point in Ohio. Those of you who can work remotely and want to get away, this is for you! Enjoy being in town close to it all!

We are open for guests! The Cabin at Maple View is located a quarter mile off of the highway down a long twisting driveway. It is tucked back in the woods and away from it all. You notice the Amish craftsmanship as soon as you arrive. You are surrounded by 80 acres of manicured woods and a huge yard. The environment is welcoming. The atmosphere is warm. Call it your home for a night or for an extended stay. It is beautiful no matter the time of year.

Anchor Bend Bungalow on Indian Lake + Waterfront

Enjoy the cabin feel of this totally remodeled lake house complete with modern amenities and lake views from the open-concept kitchen, dining and living rooms and large deck. Relax, sunbathe or fish from the waterfront deck, rent kayaks to paddle around the islands and unwind by the fire pit at the end of the day. Centrally located near Indian Lake’s best entertainment: walk to Froggy’s at the Lake, Tilton Hilton and Acheson’s Resort!

Hickory Treehouse

The treehouse-cabins themselves stand on ten foot posts. As you climb the stairs onto the lovely 16 foot deck you enter into a rustic and elegant space all your own. The room offers a wet bar, sink, refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot. The dual head shower adds a luxurious modern touch to compliment the handmade wooden furniture. The tree houses are 100 yards away from the main house. These all have Queen beds and perfect for two!
