Dryden Cottage, Whitby Harbour - Beach side

This cottage is all about the view! Beach-side location at the base of the 199 steps - perfect for exploring the beautiful historic town of Whitby. Browse in the eclectic independent shops and sample the finest seafood in the local eateries. Walk up to the abbey, stroll along the piers and collect fossils from the beach, take a ride on the steam train to the neighbouring villages and explore the moors. Please note due to the beach side location of the cottage, there is unfortunately no parking.

A 300 year old fully modernised luxury fishermans' cottage retaining many original quirky and unique features. Located on the harbour side with a small beach and just minutes from all the old town local restaurants, bars and shops and the famous 199 steps to the abbey. A fantastic Grade II listed fisherman’s cottage situated close to the famous Magpie Cafe, Whitby harbour and Whitby’s bustling town centre with all its appeal. Dating back to the 18th century, this wonderful cottage offers a homely feel with exposed beams and quirky traditional features adding to its charming character. Sleeping 4 the cottage has both a double and twin bedroom with a fully equipped kitchen, living and dining area on the ground floor providing plenty of space and seating for 4.

Coach House Cottage a perfect seaside retreat

Coach House Cottage is an old Fishermans cottage above what used to be a stables and coach store (Now a dinosaur and fossil museum). Well situated, above the main street, in the lower part of Robin Hoods Bay it is moments from the beach, the dock, and the hustle and bustle of village life. The cottage is approached along cobbled alleys and/or up a series of stone steps. It is set in its own private back alley. Due to its location our much loved cottage is not for you if steps are an issue!

It is suitable for couples & families alike, ideal for both relaxing or a more energetic break, for example walking the Cleveland Way.
