In the Jefferson National Forest’s 'Mount Rogers National Recreation Area', and with expansive scenic views of Whitetop Mountain and Mount Rogers, Dongola Cabin is a cozy and secluded retreat -- perfect for writers and creatives seeking inspiration and solitude, couples wanting romantic getaways, solo travellers, digital nomads, astronomy enthusiasts, etc. About 30 minutes from the bustling towns of Damascus and Abingdon, the Cabin offers a restive getaway w/ many opportunities for activities.

The Haven on The Virginia Creeper Trail

Located on the Virginia Creeper bike trail, we are only a 20 min. drive from the summit of beautiful Whitetop Mtn. If hiking and biking are your thing, this is the place to stay, as we are 3 miles from the Appalachian Trail, and a 20 min. drive to Grayson Highlands state park. Downtown Damascus is a 25 min. drive, and Abingdon is 40 minutes. Both towns have cute shops, restaurants, coffee, parks, and antique stores. Bristol is located approx. 50 min. from our home, and Boone, NC about an hour.

Ruby's Rest

NO CLEANING FEES. NO TO DO LISTS BEFORE CHECKING OUT. NO PET FEES. Cozy, private one room cottage (with bathroom), run by a loving, easy-going, non-judging family. Cottage measures 12' x 24' (total of 288sq. feet). Very relaxed environment. Flat rate of $50.00. UPDATE: Deck is now enclosed with old window panes. Super cozy. Has a sink with hot/old water, a hot plate, large toaster oven, and utensils. I am am still putting finishing touches on it, but available for use. Pictures soon.

A cozy 3 bedroom, 2-bath farmhouse that was completely renovated in 2009. Located just minutes from the Virginia Creeper Trail, Appalachian Trail, White Top Mountain and Mount Rogers National Recreation Area. There are many native and stocked trout streams nearby as well as great hiking, biking and horseback riding trails. The area is also known for great hunting and fly-fishing. The hillsides are plentiful with acres of Frazier Fir Christmas trees.
