Welcome to Avalon, “An Island Paradise”! Wait, what? … It’s NOT an island, but it IS a paradise! Our thoughtfully designed waterfront escape on the Sunshine Coast is ready for you to relax and let your troubles melt away. Beach access is just steps away from the door. A peak-a-boo ocean view from the SW facing deck, and hiking and bike trails, and waterfalls just short distance. The interior is carefully curated with luxurious finishes and beautiful and comfortable furnishings in every room.

Hummingbird Oceanside Suites: The Modern Cabin

OCEAN & MOUNTAIN VIEWS w/ PRIVATE HOT TUB & SHARED WOOD BARREL SAUNA The cabin is a beautiful spot to relax with friends and family, with its huge windows that provide sweeping views of West Van, North Shore Mountains and the Howe Sound. The cabin is 1,000 sq.ft. with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room w/ sofa bed, full kitchen, large patio, and private hot tub. Sleeps 4 adults & 2 kids. There’s no better place to enjoy a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine to soak in the views!

VillaLoma private suite w/ mountain & ocean views

Bring the whole family to this great place with lots of room for fun. There are two large sun-filled bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, a kitchen, dinning room and living room. There’s also a third bedroom with a sofa bed for a 5th person or use it as a kids room ( we have portable crib/pack n play, a bassinet and a toddler's matresd). All rooms overlook the gardens with mountain and ocean views. This is a self contained suite in the first level of the house we live on the second floor.

Summer Lovin' at the Love Shack (New Firepit!)

The "Love Shack" is the perfect get away for a couple or a pair of close friends! Nestled in the woods you will find a rustic cabin with cedar skin siding. Endless hot water on demand and electric fire place make for a cozy feel in the winter. The deck is an ideal space to sit and enjoy a beverage! Enjoy a comfortable sleep with memory foam mattress and feather duvet! Close to a great network of local biking trails. We are less than two minutes from the ferry terminal by car. Propane BBQ!

The Tangled Garden-Waterfront/Private Suite/Beach

Oceanfront with stunning views of Howe Sound/Coastal Mountains (above photo). Close to town, ferry, restaurants. A 10 minute walk through our forest leads to our swimmable beach. Suite is newly renovated with stone fireplace insert, queen bed, new sofa bed, keyless entrance and private deck (bedding and towels provided). Kitchenette has microwave, small fridge, infra-red single burner, water dispenser, coffee/espresso makers, dishes, no sink (we do the dishes for you). BL#00000625

the legendary wildwood cabins ~ CABIN 1

Tucked into the forest canopy on Bowen Island, the Wildwood Cabins are authentic, hand crafted post and beam cabins built from local and reclaimed timber. Each cabin is clad in natural and charred cedar and is blended into the sword ferns, cedar, hemlock and fir trees that surround it. Secluded & Warm Mountain Airstream + Outdoor Tub

Introducing Moonshot the Landyacht, the Airstream at Wildernest! A perfect getaway just a 20 minute ferry ride from West Vancouver on the forested slopes of Bowen Island. This 1971 Airstream has been totally rebuilt into a super comfortable and memorable escape. It's a great couple's vacation, completely private on its own acre of land. There's a separate indoor heated bathroom and shower, plus an outdoor hot water shower and vintage bathtub built for two.

The Hideout

We have updated The Hideout and look forward to welcoming the world back at the end of summer 2025!! The Hideout grew from a vision we had when we moved to the Coast in 2020. With the desire to share our dream of living amongst the trees, tucked away from the world, The Hideout was created. Wrapped in hand milled cedar, fir and hemlock this space was designed to remind us to slow down, breathe deep and take it all in.
