Carriage House on the Rock is a two minute walk to Westwood Lake Park that offers world-class mountain bike trails and hiking. A cozy one bedroom carriage house that is fully appointed. A 6km walk around the lake, or if you are feeling adventurous, a 3 hour hike up Mount Benson and its amazing views are nearby. Only three km to downtown, & float planes to Vancouver. Walking distance to VIU, Aquatic Center, and Nanaimo Ice Center. We are centrally located but offer a quiet remote getaway.

Five minute drive to Departure Bay ferry (or 15-20 min walk); 15 minute walk along beautiful seawall, (directly across the street and down the hill), to seaplanes and downtown, where you'll find shopping, the Nanaimo Art Gallery, Nanaimo Museum, The Port Theatre, Nanaimo Conference Centre, as well as several restaurants, coffee shops, and pubs. Roberts Creek Rainforest Cabin at Gough Creek

Gough Creek Cabin is a timber frame, studio cabin that is nestled in the old-growth rainforests of xwesam (Roberts Creek) on BC's Sunshine Coast. The cabin overlooks a beautiful mossy creek and is located at the gateway to world-class mountain biking, hiking and many villages, cafes and breweries. We are located 20 minutes from Langdale Ferry Terminal, 15 minutes from both Sechelt and Gibsons, and 5 minutes from the lovely Roberts Creek village.

The Hideout

We have updated The Hideout and look forward to welcoming the world back at the end of summer 2025!! The Hideout grew from a vision we had when we moved to the Coast in 2020. With the desire to share our dream of living amongst the trees, tucked away from the world, The Hideout was created. Wrapped in hand milled cedar, fir and hemlock this space was designed to remind us to slow down, breathe deep and take it all in.

South End Cottage
