The South West Coast Path is on your doorstep and St Mawes, Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan, Caerhays etc are all nearby. Only a 5 minute walk into Wadebridge and Camel Trail, the town boasts some lovely independent shops, restaurants, bars and bike hire.
