The meeting point is at our local office in Olympia named "Olympia back in time". After a short demo on how to use the VR glasses (really easy to use) you will go to the Archaeological Site, the place where all the magic will happen. You will see the ruins of the temples and by placing the VR glasses in front of your eyes you will give life to the place. You will be immersed in the Ancient Era with a great feeling of presence. Ancient people will be around you and all the temples will be standing up again. Athletes will be training for the Olympics just next to you and you will get the chance to admire upclose the magnificent statue of Zeus with its enormous size that will make you feel awe. Every monument has a great story to tell and you will listen to it using the integrated audio guide. A common issue for the visitors of the Arch. Site is the difficulty to find every monument but worry no more. A virtual map will help you to find every monument and on this map you will also see your current location. After your visit we will talk about your experience and i can answer any questions you may have. Have a great pottery experience! Get the chance to express yourself with clay in this 2-hour ceramic class - course. Come with your friends or with your kids and play with clay while learning the basic skills of ceramic art. Make your own ceramics under the directions of Dionysia Avouri, the owner of the Adamieion Ceramic Art Studio. Create turtles, bowls, vases etc. We glaze and fire your creations and you take them or we send them to your home. The studio is located in a pleasant environment among olive trees and vineyards. Enjoy fresh homemade lemonade while you and your kids are playing with clay, away from the noisy tourist resorts. First you visit the exhibition-shop to get an idea of Dionysia' s work. Then you work with Dionysia for 2 hours to get familiar with clay and create your own unique ceramic memories from Zakynthos island. During the lesson you create 2 pieces. The shape and the style depends on your imagination and creativity! Your ceramics will remain to dry under the sun and then I will glaze and fire them. They will be ready out from the kiln after 3 days. After the lesson you may have a walk in our farm and admire some of the oldest olive trees on the island, aged more than 1.000 years old! We’ll meet up in the morning in Zakynthos town and here you’ll meet your guide. We’ll still be fresh and eager, so we’ll start with the only ascent of the day. From town a lovely narrow street meanders up to a spectacular viewpoint over Zakynthos town. We adjust our speed to the island pace, siga, siga (slow, slow) we simply take it easy. Of course, we’ll stop often, while the experienced guide tells us much about Zakynthian life, its interesting history and its amazing flora and fauna. One of the points of interest is the hidden park of Lofos Strani, where the local hero and poet Dionysios Solomos has composed the Greek national anthem. Just about halfway our route, we’ll have a break and enjoy a cold drink with some local sweets (pastelli and mandelato). We continue over a path below the Venetian castle, before zigzagging through narrow streets into the heart of the capitol.
