The Thunderbird Tiny House

The Thunderbird tiny house is located on the Thunderbird Ranch about 13 miles west of Mountainair, New Mexico. We are surrounded by the Cibola National Forest on all four sides. The property is owned by the Wester's and has been in their family for almost a hundred years. We also have other vacation homes for rent so if you want to bring another family we can accommodate that. Welcome to our quiet studio, in a nice neighborhood, centrally located in Nob Hill. It's a 5-10 minute walk to eclectic shopping, dining and entertainment. It's a 4-5 minute drive to UNM, Pope Joy Hall, CNM; 12-15 minute drive to Old Town, Albuquerque BioPark, Museums; 4 minutes to I-25 and 7 minutes to the airport! The space was recently a workshop for furniture building; before that, a carport! We've had so much fun creating a living space from this old garage. It's a pleasure to share it!

Private Casita at the Desert River Farm

We are located on a 2.75 acre homestead property just south of Albuquerque in a small agricultural community. It is a perfect retreat space for those looking to get away but stay close to amenities. We live in an 1890 adobe home that shares the property with the casita and we have quiet and friendly neighbors. We have a handful of fruit trees, a hoop house where we are growing vegetables, and a wild 1 acre field. The property is fully fenced with private parking right outside the casita.

Mountainair was known as the “Pinto Bean Capital of the World” in its heyday and our land was used for dry-land bean farming. Remnants of homesteaders can still be found on the property. We now enjoy this beautiful location to raise Scottish Highland Cattle and can’t wait to share it with you! Our cabin will fit 2 adults plus a child comfortably with a queen bed and twin sofa bed.

Two bedrooms, one bath, full kitchen, living room. **Disclaimer** There have been complaints of a faint smell of cigarettes. There is absolutely NO Smoking in the house. This smell lingers from tenets from previous years.
