Upon first glance, the unit was huge with a mystery unkempt bedroom and random stuff everywhere, but it was okay enough to tidy up ourselves. On arrival there was moldy food in the fridge and bathroom products scattered everywhere in the bathroom. It was more like a hostel that was frequently turned around than a respectable Airbnb unit at this price.

Around midway through the visit the guest was getting sick due to black mold in the unit. We took a while to notice it because it's not very obvious. The ceiling was also leaking above the shower/tub, so also hard to notice, and caused a bad slip on the floor. When we contacted the caretaker they claimed it was supposed to be fixed prior to our check in. No action to fix it happened during the stay, nor much acknowledgement from the host. The host eventually responded with photos taken way earlier claiming that the unit was pristine and clean.

Airbnb helped me get a partial refund which took several days to do.
